Cool Mile with Weswimrun, Talyllyn Lake

I photographed the Cool Mile open water swim at Talyllyn Lake on 25 April 2026, organised by Mike Alexander of WeSwimRun. The conditions were excellent, with flat water and clear light, which allowed for a consistent set of images across both action and portrait work. For this type of event, working close to the water level remains important. It helps to capture detail in stroke, breathing, and expression without losing context of the location. A solid event with a well-managed setup and good participation.
