Knowing your sport is key to capturing a reasonable image of an event. I’ve not really taken much interest in windsurfing or wing foiling, but that changed when I was tipped off that a small group of wing foilers (if that's the correct name) were going to take advantage of the unusually high winds we are having this summer and practise in the Dyfi Estuary. Unlike windsurfing wing foiling uses a board with a hydrofoil attached underneath. I’ve been told that with a little tuition, you’ll take flight in no time, I’ve never managed to master a paddle board, so I don’t think I stand a chance ever getting to grips with wing foiling. At the same, it’s a great sport to watch from the safety of the shoreline...
